My daughter and I spend a lot of time together. We shop, we chat, and we hang out. We enjoy the company of one another. However, we never really have mother daughter moments. Moments that we can share for years to come and that will stick with us; moments that we will look back fondly on and enjoy. That is partly what inspired us to do the jazzy mother daughter photoshoot. We wanted to have fun, lively photos that would stick with us for the rest of our lives – and we feel that we got far more than we ever imagined.
Originally, the thought of a photoshoot was a fun little idea. We both had braid extensions and we were buying matching pieces. The thought of a photoshoot popped into my head and it excited me. It was something that we both thought would be nice. I already knew a photographer so we decided to just go forward with it.
Ken Branson is a photographer that I have worked with in the past. I chose him again this time because I knew his passion, professionalism, and work ethic. I knew he would bring all of that to this photoshoot, and I was not let down. He spoke to us, asked questions, and got to know us. He used that to have us pose and to choose how we would take the photos. He built the entire photoshoot around us, not him. It felt special, far more special than a regular photoshoot would.
Throughout the entire experience, my daughter and I were laughing and giggling. We were having fun. It was exciting and memorable. That experience meant more than the photos themselves, and it made the photos more valuable and precious. We came away giddy and happy, overjoyed at the entire shoot. It was everything we had wanted.
Actually choosing the photos was difficult, but that is only because there were so many good ones. In the end, we got to choose the photos that best showed our experience there and our bond together. The entire thing was lovely and beautiful. The photo shows this well, making it something I, and my daughter, will cherish for a long time to come.
We could not be happier with Ken Branson. I am already deciding to go back to him in the future for an event I am holding and I am recommending him to everyone I can. There is no comparison.
